KLEZMER
Popular Eastern European Traditional Jewish music met with Jazz becoming a cultural gem that connects generations to their roots. We specialize in Klezmer tunes played by the top musicians in the field. Instruments in the ensemble include Brass, Flutes, Saxophones, Clarinets, and Drums.

Shlomo Haviv was born in the village of Hadera, near Haifa, Israel. As a soldier in the Israeli Army, he was the lead vocalist in the Entertainment Unit of the Armed Forces, singing for the troops. Since then, he has performed in concerts throughout the United States, a stop the show performance at Carnegie Hall, hit concerts at Brooklyn College, repeat engagements at the Americana Hotel in Aruba and Curacao, Puerto Rico, Mexico, The Bahamas, Canada, Israel, Morocco, South America and a sellout performance at the Olympia Theater in Paris.
He had his own nightclub, David’s Harp, where he sold out the house for two solid years. He has performed on National Television many times and "P.M. Magazine" devoted a whole program on Shlomo Haviv alone. The Town and Country Playhouse in Salem, New Hampshire asked Mr. Haviv to play the role of Perchik in "Fiddler on the Roof", and the following year he returned to star in the lead role of Vernon Gersch in "They’re Playing Our Song". He was then asked to play the starring role of Che Guevera in the musical "Evita", and returned to perform the starring role in "Jesus Christ Superstar". He was held over at the Konover Hotel in Miami Beach for one solid year in the Konover Henri’s Supper Club.
While there, he won the Miami Beach Carbonnel Award for Best Supper Club Pop Singer of the Year and was featured on four magazine covers throughout the year. His extensive repertoire ranges in 17 different languages and he also sings an entire evening of American Hits and Classics. He has recorded many albums and has composed most of the songs on his albums. One of the songs he has written, "Yom Ze Mechubad", won the 1997 Chassidic Festival in New York. He also plays Bouzouki and is an accomplished guitarist and percussionist.
