We cannot say enough wonderful things about Shlomo Haviv Orchestra!

Let's talk pre-wedding. Shlomo and his wife Sarit could not have been more accommodating! Despite being located in Brooklyn, they were willing to meet with us twice in Manhattan. In between meetings, they were exceptionally responsive via email, phone and text message. They took us step by step through every important moment of our big day so that when it arrived it was a truly seamless experience. I (the groom) went into this wedding saying the only two things that mattered to me were the food and the music...and so this was SO IMPORTANT to me to have very specific songs and genres at specific times.

One of the worries I had going into this with a band VS a DJ is that the music selection would be limited. Would a wedding band be able to play pretty obscure songs like Cake's "Love you Madly" or Collective Soul's "Shine" AND a Greek Sirtaki??? Not only were they able to accommodate my requests, but they nailed the songs! But don't just take my word for it, when you meet with Shlomo and Sarit, they will give you mp3's and videos of them playing songs/genres you are interested in so you know what you're getting. Bottom line - they will put together exactly the right ensemble (whether you just want a smaller "core" band or a full on orchestra) for your event.

But none of this would matter if not for the quality...which was AMAZING. Rock, R&B, Top 40, Motown, Jazz, Big Band, Israeli, Jewish, Greek...you name it...we had it at our wedding. The music was so good that we had the wedding reception audio put on my iPhone and listened to it during our honeymoon. Shlomo himself is an incredibly accomplished, talented singer and plays an incredible amount of instruments.

In short, Shlomo and Sarit put on an amazing event that people come up to us a year later to tell us how great the band was. It was exactly what we wanted and I can't imagine anyone else being able to meet/exceed our expectations!

We were first introduced to the Sholmo Haviv Band at an event where they were performing. I was blown away by the singers and energy they brought. I told my husband we must have this band at our wedding. Our wedding guests were a true reflection of NYCs melting pot and we wanted music from all genres and a dj for the last hour to play 90s hip hop. Shlomo knew exactly what we were looking for and he delivered. It's been a year since our wedding and we are told every time we see our family and friends that we had the best band they have ever heard. Shlomo, his wife, and son Michael are an amazing team. Mrs. Haviv handled all the logistical details and communicated clearly what all the charges and options were. Shlomo Haviv really know how to cater to the audience! He would play exactly what we wanted, but also made sure that everyone was up on the dance floor and having a great time. Even my family, whom isn't usually the type to get up and dance so much at a wedding, was packed onto the dance floor! He really made our night extra special! And for travelling from New York to Philly, he was definitely not outrageously priced either, but certainly worth every penny!
